Black America was inspired by the ongoing struggles of black lives caused by systematic racism. Our song is an echo of the voices calling for justice and freedom after countless lives have been lost due to police brutality and bias incarcerations world wide. We share with you a story from the point of view of our fellow teammate, Lunar, whose experience as an African American youth and protester tell the struggles of our society at large.

In 2020 we have been faced by two pandemics, the spread of hate amongst our fellow Americans and the COVID-19 virus. The problem of white supremacy has existed as long as America; it is not enough to abolish slavery if we are going to enshrine it within our laws and society. The problem will not go away until we actively do something about it. We present this song to our brothers, sisters, and allies urging them to practice their right to vote in this upcoming 2020 election as losing could cause a tremendous setback in the progress that has been made by our ancestors.

Thank you to the Black Lives Matter movement for giving us the strength to represent the unheard through our music. Our sincere condolences to all the families that have suffered due to prejudice, marginalization, and inequality simply because of the color of their skin. May this year be the spark that creates immediate change to us all. We are not minorities, we are a third of the entire USA population and along with our allies we shall prevail!

Huge shout out to our talented team at LunarBLVD for making this single possible. Our Hiphop crew was founded with inclusion and diversity of thought at its core and we will continue to deliver just that.
