A then 2 year old Larry Morrisse Cozart III known by his stage name K.I.D Hellcat was on his way to Buffalo from Utica New York. His Grandmother had taken custody of him and his 2 siblings determined to give them a better life. In school Hellcat struggled to read and write. At an early age, music had become an outlet to express his life without a mother or father. His grandfather encouraged him to join the choir where he began singing and grew to be lead singer. In the hood word spread about Hellcats musical talents which landed him a meeting with Douglas “Fresh” Turnage the top executive of an independent record label Judgment Music Group. Soon after Hellcat would join to prep for his debut single “Welfare Baby” featuring Jrey Cash.
