Current events demonstrate the fragility of a globalization that brings a great deal of uncertainty.
However, that same globalization brings with it the rise of a new musical generation that intertwines the best of each culture and shares its unique wealth with the world.

"Kizumbiah" is the first single from the next EP entitled "The Abstractnauts Logbook". It will be released this summer of 2020. "Kizumbiah" was birthed and created out of a need to explore new musical fusions and languages. A Bial Hclap production, "Kizumbiah" perfectly renders the idea which Gioco had initially envisioned and shared with Bial Hclap. The vision was to bring a mixture of electronic elements, with the swing of the Kizomba and cumbia arrangements, accompanied and accented with a reggae touch on the vocals. The vocals bounce between Spanish to French to English, languages that Gioco commands seamlessly, and even some Portuguese, used with a fluency that would seem like they are one same language. This track also includes a unique touch from a Mexican reggae icon, Jah Fabio, who in addition presents a danceable vibe, reminds us of that union of the peoples, of love and of hope that is so much needed at this moment in time. Without a doubt it is a display of appreciation for the African heritage that is present in Latin America, much like Cumbia music that was born and emerged in Colombia, which is fused to a rhythmic influence of Kizomba music that Angola gave to the world. The aim and hope of this new wave of music is that it can bring people at home to an alternate reality in order to cope with the current times through dance and by tuning into better vibes to overcome the currently challenging circumstances.
