My Street

Berlin's Ampispazi never sleeps and this August delivers its 59th release, coming from Argentina's Oxy Beat with remixes from Metrophonique and label's head Mik Santoro. This summer the unstoppable Ampispazi Recordings pulls another rabbit from the hat and drops 'My Street': a four tracker, composed by the original version, coming Argentina's talent Oxy Beat (previously out on Noferini's Deepereffect) and backed up with 3 strong remixes. The talented producer mixes in his original track his long time influences, coming from Blues, Soul and Funk with his new passion such as house, deep house and techno and gives to Ampispazi a rather strong and effective record. 'My Street; in fact, is a late night deep and mellow cut, in which dubby chords merge with a straight but efficient percussive loop and moody vocals: a relentless and hypnotic club's killer which perfectly describes the artist's incredible talent. The track is followed by two remixes, this time coming from label honcho Mik Santoro and the label's good friend and associates Metrophonique, who have previously remixed together Kamo DJ. The 2 producers' different styles are once again clearly shown and both follow different paths creating distinctive and unique atmospheres. Mik Santoro cleverly uses captivating synth melodies and Oxy Beat's vocals, fusing them with jumpy bass and sub-lines: the result is a catchy opening house cut. Metrophonique on the other side deliver an uplifiting version, re-working and sampling the original sounds and vocals and merging them with their usual magnificent summery but industrial grooves: their incredible musical knowledge is once again revealed by their magical touch while prouducing. The single closes with a special unique mix coming from label's own Ercos Blanka: the producer took us on another intriguing melodic journey.
