Postcard From Beirut

Piero Baccaro
label: Ampispazi Recordings
Mik Santoro's brainchild Ampispazi drops talented Piero Baccaro's debut EP with remixes from Ramsi and label's head himself - out on the 30 of December.

The ability of discover talents is the key of Berlin's Ampispazi' success. For the last release of the year, Mik Santoro's imprint presents another debut EP, coming this time from Pulsar's A&R and infamous Rome's club Rashomon crew member Piero Baccaro. The really young producer has already released on various European labels, showcasing a unique blend of Chicago House's grooves and Dubby bass-line. His 'Postcard from Beirut' EP is another outstanding product of his musical genius. On the support duties Mik Santoro and labels' favourite Ramsi, the game changers.

The EP opens with 'La Mecca' , a dark Techno-ish cut, influenced a lot by UK sounding labels such has Withies and Livity Sound: slow but efficient, a late night killer. Ramsi's version is a pure Berlin styled track, deep grooves are driven by hypnotic melodies that after floating in the air they splendidly open and unleash an incredible crowd pleasing power.

Baccaro's second original 'Out Of There' is a subtle summery journey driven by a wobbly dubby bass and warm pads, merged with high strings and reverberated synth melodies. Straight for the dance floor. Mik Santoro Housy's mix is the right opening track for an after party: dreamy, melodic but still groovy and club-oriented.
If you haven't heard of Piero before check out his new EP on Ampispazi. Class is an understatement.
