Cerebrum LP

DetroUser
label: Variance
We are delighted to get back to the grind in 2019 after a two month break from releases following Vlaysins immense "Easy Like Pulizzi" in December, this time, at long last, we bring you an EP from DetroUser. The Spaniard has provided some brash, dirty, and heavy industrial flavoured techno for his first full release on Variance, having already featured in our "VAR4000" VA and "Various Artists Vol 1" last year with the tracks "HQ EEU.70019" and "Pure Crystal". Keeping in line with his previous releases, he has brought his demented (in the best way possible) and distinct sound in bucked loads for "Cerebrum". The three originals stand on their own, and put together on this EP it makes for excellent listening, floor fillers all round. Truc Records owner DetroUser really is going from strength to strength, we are beyond excited to witness the response to this EP.
Alongside the originals we have three remixes, first time Kang has released a solo track on the label, one half of Duo Alias though, so no stranger to the imprint, his remix is oozing originality, bass heavy mayhem, with subtle yet effective progressions, first of many we hope. Distra makes his fourth appearance on the label with his third remix, and what a remix it is, progressive deep industrial techno, sonic perfection, a very versatile track that can be fit in to many different styles of electronic music. Lastly, Spark in on with his first full solo track on the label, he featured on "VAR4000" on a collab with Sur+, but this time he has provided a very impressive remix, rolling kicks, hissing percs, ideal for the floor, Spark is another artist that will most certainly feature more over the coming years.
All in all this release is packed full of floor fillers, lots of variety, as we have come to expect on Variance. enjoy the music.
